Types of Animation Students in India

I found myself surrounded by few of this aspiring animation brats while I am learning animation…!!!

Type 01
“Clay Animation? How Cute!!!” An Aspiring Animation Brat
One day I was seating in a animation class & I came across this exclamation thought…
“tell me about Animation!”, “Who Does Animation”, “How He does it?”, “Where it Happens?”, It reminds me of Hindi Film ‘Dil To Pagal Hai…’
And It was the same day I came across this thought, “Animation? How Sweet? How Cute?”, I never did & never will understand what is cute in doing in animation, It is a day’s of work…!!!

Type 02
“Tell me About 3D…!!!”
I was explaining the one person the process of animation & how it is done & recommending some books to him, he said, “I am more interested in 3D Animation, I don’t want to learn from books or basics of animation, I just want to learn 3D… because 3D is the future because Pixar & even Disney is doing it… & Why I should waste my time in learning 2D or that matter other types of animation.”

Type 03
“Tell me about Foreign Animation Universities…!!!”
There is craze in India to go abroad & settle there & get green card for that matter & people or student see this as an opportunity to go abroad by doing animation than concentrating on animation itself.

Type 04
Educational Background the student come from
BSC is the main category that student switch from that to animation. It’s really sad about Indian Education System that students get misguided & mislead to situation that being doctor & engineer as your profession is greatest standard you can get to. This people loose precious years of learning art through Art College & then they switch to Animation which is more hard to attempt without knowing art too well. So that it leads to frustration & at end the failure from getting to goal of being animator.

Type 05
Crowd’s Philosophy behind choosing Animation
Crowd’s philosophy in India is to go behind, ‘the next big thing’ without knowing ‘What it is?’ & ‘How it works?’. Indian people thinks Animation is the next generation field like engineering or being doctor where there is lots of money is present. But it’s not practically that kind of case. Animation is lot more kind of hard work, constant learning. Animation is not the way of instant fame or name or money.

Conclusion
So my advice would be to go to Art College do lots of constant sketching, drawing & designing learning new media & experimenting with art itself & with other type of animations, meeting talented artist & making them your mentor & Guru.
