Bye Bye Adobe & Welcome Pixelmator & OpenSource

Today I bought Original License for Pixelmator from Mac App Store for Mountain Lion OSX.

It’s really crazy in India to be a owner of original Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, inDesign all Adobe Products because all of this products cost in real life situation 80,000 INR per licenses & per product.

So all of purchased of this genuine  Adobe Products costs me 2,50,000 INR or more. So it really sucks to be owner of Photoshop where Mac App like ‘Pielmator’ is available for under 1,000 INR i.e. just for 800 INR (or Rupees).

So no guess I gone for Pixelmator.

For almost last many years I was playing with GIMP & Inkscape. I think now this is time to move on to OpenSource. GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is weak in comparison with Pixelmator because it doesn’t use Apple Core Technologies so I opted for ‘Pixelmator’. But Inkscape is Powerful so no guess that Inkscape is installed in my Mountain Lion’s Application Folder.

I think this is the time for Adobe to re thick about their pricing structure or Adobe will loose their customer base to better products like Pixelmator & Inkscape.

Hurrraaaaaayyyyy…..

Thanks & regards
