Best way to use iTunes Library to utilise Macintosh with efficient way for faster performance

iTunes Logo

I started using Macintosh as my own work machine at home since Year 2008,

& until now I have more than 150 GB of Hard Disk space occupied by iTunes Library folder.

I was just thinking out how to utilise iTunes library with mire efficient way than just loading with 50 GB of podcasts, 50 Gb of iTunes U & 20 GB of songs, 30 GB of Movies

I just reached one solution which I implemented immediately by splitting iTunes Library in two different folders one for only Music & second for other stuffs like Movies, Podcasts, iTunes U etc.

Here is the catch as I determined I never use Podcasts & iTunes U every day or every hour it is just for reference & help only material so why to put heavy load on primary drive called ‘Macintosh HD’ so I relocated second library with podcasts, movies, iTunes U to external drive….

& Suddenly my Mac is running as fast as before than 150 GB of iTunes folder on primary or OS Boot drive…

Hope it helps…

Thanks & Regards
