If you are unable to open EPS in InkScape or If you don’t know how to open EPS (Encapsulated Postscript Format) in InkScape, here is the way out…

After fighting with too much with InkScape to open EPS,

I found the way to do that within boundaries of Macintosh platform i.e. Mac OSX

It seems InkScape doesn’t recognise .eps file format when you browse with InkScape’s own dialogue box ‘open’ command,

Here is the way out of this:

Open .eps file with Mac OSX’s own Preview App > Choose File Menu > Export > then Choose PDF as file Type for Export format > then Click OK > & Open that PDF in InkScape

Now with this you are now able to open any .eps file with InkScape by first converting it to PDF through Mac OSX’s own App called Preview

Thanks & Regards
