How to Delete & Deactivate Apple ID, Here is the Answer

It is a general assumption that you can’t delete your Apple ID.

Even if you send support or help requests to the Apple Support team, they will say that…

But here is a way out of this goof-up.

First step is to gather all required information to varify your account in one place..

First is Your ‘Username’
Note it down

Second is Your ‘Security Question’s Answer’
Note it down, too…

The third is to be ready to log in with your account

Under the Security tab, you have the ‘Generate Pin’ tab. You will need to click this tab to generate a pin to share with your Apple iTunes Support Team expert, which will help him access your account and confirm your identity.

Now, get ready to start the procedure…

First, you can send a Support Request to the iTunes Support Team by this URL:

Click This link to go to iTunes Support Contact Portal,

Click on the iTunes Store listed in the right-hand options

Then Proceed to click on ‘Account Management Tab’, then choose ‘Managing & Editing Apple ID’

Fill out the form to tell the Apple support team to guide you in deleting your account.

OR you can jump to this second step

they will send you this URL

Contacting Apple about your Apple ID account security

Go to your preferred country & it’s a way of contacting Apple…

Then you can proceed to contact Apple on Telephone Conversation

When you connect to ‘Account & Security Team’

First Step:

Then, they Will Confirm Your Username ID. Then, they will ask you about your Secret Questions, and you have to answer that correctly. They will ask you to generate a PIN and submit it or tell them over the phone to validate the account holder that you are the same person talking over the phone.

Second Step:

Then, they will check whether you are signed in with the first iOS device, such as an iPhone or iPad. You have to sign in for iCloud with your ID, which will enable them to delete your Apple ID.
If you have not created an iCloud ID associated with your Apple ID, it’s time to do that to enable them to delete it from their database.

Third Step:

Then they will tell you that deleting Your ID is irreversible; You will lose all of your associated data.
Before telling them to delete your ID, back up your iCloud Documents, Music, Apps, etc.

Fourth Step:

They ask your permission to confirm deactivation. They will delete your Apple ID immediately. They say deactivation may take 24 hours or more to take effect.

OR Else they will guide to this Link: Apple Customer Privacy Policy Page to fill the form with privacy issue selected to comment it with ‘Delete my Apple ID’

  1. Thank you very much, Mandar, for your thoughtful and helpful blog entry. I followed your procedure and my Apple id is now gone! Many thanks and keep up the good work.

  2. Thx for your great instructions. My apple ID is hopeful gone, I’m waiting for the reply. I only used their software and products for a few days. I was very impressed with the product but not with their lack of commitment to keep old tech up to date. Their products are usually forcibly out-dated with in two or three years. I think I will try sticking with Microsoft.
