Hey all designers & artist, I am putting down points that one artist or designer will encounter in his life while working in an IT Company.
This are the points that I heard through my friends & their experiences dealing with this IT junkies…
- everyone is expert except you
- they give free comments that never will help your work but to say they understand your job
- you submit your work before time or you submit your work late is same problem
- No brief about project but they will just say, “Design Any Poster”
- no value to your work
- there are so many fool people around you that you can’t laugh in front of them
- No creative freedom
- Salary Increment? Why a designer will ever need that???
- Design? Anybody can do it!!!
- “PPT is tool of Design”
- You believe in Mac but you get Windows’ Experience.
- an IT employee’s suggestions for good poster design, “Use RGB Default Palette Red Color for big Mass in design, It helps you to make your point or just ask me…!!!”
- Do you smoke?
- “Why you waste your time in doing sketches & roughs, layouts?”, “Do directly on your PC & save time”
- Your Office PC’s system Configuration in year 2010 = Pentium 4 + 256mb RAM + 80GB Hard Disk
- Wacom? What is that?
- Your Project Manager is MBA Degree holder & You BFA Degree holder!!! How close & how apart
- Agreement of non disclosure of work so You can’t put your work in your Portfolio…
- 150px by 150px of work & 1024px by 768px of work requires same amount of time…
- One fine day one of your IT Company collegue will say to you, “Visiting online design tutoial websites & design blog is waste of time…”
- Apple Inc.? They are just another computer company!!!
- You want Photoshop CS5? Why don’t you use GIMP & save our time & money???
