You want to attend an interview with big company for the post related to design industry…
Then what will you carry with you MacBook? or MacBook Air? or an iPad…
Carrying your whole work portfolio in CD or Flash Drive is risky as recruiter may copy your work to their computer without asking you about to do so or not… So there is possibility of theft of your intellectual property… So right way to carry your work would be carrying it in your own machine, mac in this case.
If you own Desktop like iMac or Mac Pro then what would be your next portable machine? A MacBook or MacBook Air or iPad
It will be right way to compare this Apple Products would be through their Price, Display Resolution Size, User Interaction & Experience
Practically thinking all are Portables or Tablet & they all have Multi Touch Gesture Support
All are Costly MacBook is at $1,000 – MacBook Air is at $1,500 – iPad is at $829
MacBook & MacBook have Mechanical keyboard but iPad has Modern Multi Touch UI that is ground breaking in Industry that even competitors are not catching up with,
iPad 2 is with the duel processing in Tablet Form,
MacBook Air & iPad has no optical media support but all has WiFi inbuilt… But Adobe Flash Player is not supported in iPad
iPad Display Resolution is 1024px by 768px, MacBook’s Display Resolution is 1280px by 800px, MacBook Air’s Display Resolution is 1440px by 900px
As Apple CEO Steve Jobs said in his iPad introduction Keynote…
Is there room for new product in middle, between Laptop & smart phone?
Bar is pretty high, It has to be better at some key tasks
Then he introduced an iPad…
So What will be the answer to this question of choosing right machine to showcase your portfolio in right way in impressive manner & not costing much to pocket???
I would say go for an iPad
As it support PDF & Keynote… You can design your portfolio in PDF & showcase it on iPad or design it in Apple Keynote App as it is a presentation application… You can showcase you flash videos through YouTube & conquer problem no support for Adobe Flash Player.
But Question is still open…!!! What would be best device to showcase your portfolio???
