Art is a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities, usually involving imaginative or technical skill. Design is the creation of a plan or convention for the construction of an object or a system (as in architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, business processes, circuit diagrams and sewing patterns). Design has different connotations in different fields. In some cases the direct construction of an object (as in pottery, engineering, management, cowboy coding and graphic design) is also considered to be design.

  • Irregularities of AdSense Advertisements Delivery, Why smaller 300×250 unit ads are delivered in 336×280 ad unit. Here is why?

For a while, I observed unusual behaviour of my 336 by 280 Ad units, where smaller ads were delivered in 300 by 250 units.

I even reported this issue to the Google AdSense Support Team but received no reply & currently, they are not accepting any new support requests, but how can I get the solution I wanted?

I solved the problem of why smaller unit ads were delivered in bigger ad units, thereby ruining my ‘Website Design Layouts.’

Here is what Google Says about that:

  • How do you put comments in .php, .html, and .css files to declare? Remind third-party developers and designers of the code’s explanation.

Different ways of putting comments per file type on the World Wide Web exist.

Comments help the code developer explain quickly to third-party developers, designers, users, or even himself why he used that line of code and what function it performs in that web application.

So it is convenient to know how to put comments in your files in PHP, CSS & HTML.

Here is an example of how you will put comments in ‘HTML’ & ‘PHP’ pages (outside of the PHP code) & it will look like this:

<!-- comment here about what is going on -->

Comments inside of PHP code look like this:

<?php the_excerpt(); // Show excerpt and not full post content ?>

  • Designed in India & Designed in USA, UK & rest of The World, What’s the difference???

I was going through the Dribbble jobs page, and almost 175 jobs were posted. Nearly 160 of them were from the USA, 10 were from the UK and Europe, and 3 were from locations posted ‘anywhere’, but nothing was posted from Indian or even Asian locations.

What’s wrong with India? Has it forgotten about running Design-Directed Companies, or do they just love working for US and UK companies?

The actual terrible situation here in Mumbai.

The government says a person can live on 20 Cents, or 12 INR, daily, including lunch and dinner.

  • Search Engine Optimisation for Title Tag & How it works & How it is crawled by Google, A lesson learned from my own portfolio website

Here is what I learned from Google’s Web Crawling algorithm over the years,

For the last three to two years, I have used ‘Design Portfolio | Mandar Apte’ as my title tag for my personal design portfolio website’s homepage, i.e. ‘Page Name | Website Name’. This is nothing more than to explain to people that they can get a complete insight into the website by just looking at the title on Google’s search result page.

But for the last few days, I got this result when I searched my name on Google. Yes, I was listed first when I searched for a name, i.e mandar apte,

But the result was something like this: ‘Mandar Apte: Design Portfolio’ instead of my curated title ‘Design Portfolio | Mandar Apte’. It seems Google altered my website homepage’s title tag on their search results. I was amassed, wondering why this should happen, and then I contacted Google support for the same.

  • How Odd Numbers are out & Even Numbers are in for Web Designer & Icon Designer or even for any designer

While I was designing Icons for my client, I realised that it is true in website design as it is in Icon Design: you can work in odd numbers,

When you have even numbers like 14px Square or 16px Square, you can easily fit a round box inside it, but in a 15px Square Icon, it’s tough to manage…

    Here is The example…

    Odd Numbers of Pixels:

Odd Pixels with 15px by 15px

    15pxicon

    Even Numbers of Pixels:

10px by 10px, with 1px of rounded corners, it fails to generate an illusion of circular when viewed at actual size or maximum size
