Background
I have been Brahman since birth. For the last 40 years, I have heard that a girl/boy from Brahman cast the lost Medical College Admission seat even though she got 99.95% in 12th. Then she told me that in the reserve/backward cast merit list, admission got closed at 50%. The same is true in college admissions related to the engineering field.
There is one side more dominated by the Political Agenda that the backward class community deserve or holds the first right to educational and professional opportunities in India than other equal citizens of different casts. The reason they feel everything they say is valid is that the backward class was kept depressed and oppressed by the higher class, specifically by Brahmans. They feel Brahmans are the ones who deny them the right to education and keep them oppressed for thousands of years.
Then came reality when I, as a human being, was seen by backward-class individuals as a target because they got where they are today, i.e. being backward class. Then these people start shitting on Brahman rituals, men/women how they are sexually and morally corrupt.
I experience this in the workplace, Mumbai local trains, colleges and schools.
But are they backward class in reality? That is the question. Before Independence, there were no reservations based on religious/social/cast-based categories called backward class. Now they want themselves officially pronounced backward class, and they are filled with data that they deserve to be the backward class for the next hundred years to get free education, free jobs and free financial aid from the Government by suppressing the Brahman class opportunities and rights so that they can feel better politically and psychologically.
But they don’t have any data to support this statement that Brahmans denied them education.
The Reality
Then comes Congress or any other Dalit party with millionaire and billionaire leaders with personal wealth whose sons and daughters study in the United States, Europe and other countries. The same leaders want their other poor cast members to get accessible free reservation seats so that they can get free education, free jobs, and free financial aid for a lifetime and future generations till the last individual of the backward class gets out of being called backward class. It sounds inspiring but has never been a reality for the previous 75 years since 1947.
A surprising question is how backwards-class community leaders hold crores of properties in real estate, gold, silver, and equity shares. So, who is suppressing whom? And who is benefitting from this?
Brahmans are still a forward class, and Dalits have been a backward class since the independence of India for the last 75 years.
So, who is fooling who?
The backward-class individuals who were calling me I was the reason behind them being backward class. When I asked them what had happened to them since 1947 or a year ago, they got reservations. However, they are still doing tea makers, house help, and data entry operator jobs, and why are they not scientists at NASA, ISTRO, doctors, engineers, CEOs, or with high-paying jobs? Or, for that matter, the owner of big corporate houses like TATA, Mahindra and Mahindra, Infosys, and Wipro? They get emotionally satisfied that they got a reservation or preferential system by birthright that this will solve their generational problems. But they are still stuck there where they were since a thousand years ago. This individual thinks it’s their birthright that their own ‘Baba’ has written the Indian Constitution single-handedly by just keeping the future of the Backward class in mind. I never saw backward class leaders or Dalit leaders in the freedom movement in prominent numbers like Brahman Cast individuals like Lokmanya Tilak, Swatantryveer Savarkar, and Vasudeo Balavant Phadake, Chaphekar Brothers—even other cast members like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai and others. But current backward class members think their leader, Babasaheb Ambedkar, wrote the constitution and wrote reservation clauses just for Dalits and other backwards class casts, etc. But I never saw Lokmanya Tilak or Swatantryaveer Savarkar recommending their cast members over all Bharatiya citizens. But once we counter them about their wealth and their leader’s wealth valuations, they changed the direction of throwing insults and abuse at their political leaders as if they had fooled them by not sharing the wealth with fellow cast members.
Even renowned businessmen from Dalits or Any Backward Class community still believe in their birthright that their Babasaheb Ambedkar Has given them every right in the Indian Constitution over other citizens.
I remember a two-decade-old advertisement by the Congress Party. Sonia Gandhi appearce on National TV at that time Doordarshan, “अब हमें जिनेका हक मिल गया है क्न्योकिं हमें सरकारी बस में बैठनेका रिजर्वेशन सीट मिल गयी है.”. Reletaraly means, “We got right to live because we got a reservation in public transport bus to occupy a seat by asking others to leave it for them.” This ad targeted women in India. And hopefully not, mainly only for backward-class women in India.
So Fake Promises, Fake Idiology, Fake Social Status, Fake Victim Card, Fake Emotions, Fake Reasoning Behind Committing Crimes.
You reap what you sow!
The Solution!
Maybe today’s backward class generation has to wake up to the reality. It is not my or any Brahman individual’s problem or issue why, socially, they are still in a backward class and not getting a proper education or job. And why they are kept backwards forever by their leaders and why leaders themselves don’t allow fellow Backwards class individuals to be the same politically, socially, and religiously without knowing the meaning of being called ‘Backward’.
It is just a mental or psychological state or being that like getting free things, getting free right to abuse Brahmin Community’s Fellow Citizens whether being equal Indian Nationals.
Maybe every backward class or reservation class person has to wake up and start competing at equal status without getting a low mark or cut-off percentage or special freebies and without reimbursing the Indian Government once getting a job for themselves, if any. And it is happening for generations since the right to get everything for free without qualification.
One last observation: I remember my uncle working at Sion Government Hospital. He showed me one funny reality. A doctor who got an MBBS degree from a reservation class was not preferred by their community members as his appointment slot was empty forever, and the same qualified doctor from open class had all appointments booked and lined up for the next 6/7 hours till his office hours ended.
A few months back, the news in the newspaper showed an attack on the new parliament building by students who were not getting jobs, still being PhD, Engineers, BAs, etc. It’s not the Parliment’s job to give them jobs but jobseekers’ problem updating their Resume and CVs, giving hundreds of interviews, Not avoiding duties, or Buying Degrees through corrupt practices like paying money to college so that they get a degree without even attending exams and or copy-pasting somebody’s thesis, projects, or documents by replacing your name.
Hard work and constant practice are the solutions for them. And not play the victim card forever to excuse every malpractice or bypass Indian law.
